General Information We are situated 30 minutes north of Kingston and 1.5 hours south of Ottawa on Powells Bay providing a spectacular view of the 2,046 acre Sand Lake. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of our excellent fishing, sandy beach, boat rentals, playground, horseshoe pit and games room. A ten minute boat ride takes you to Sand Lake Marine, either Jones Falls or Davis Locks, both part of the Rideau Canal System. Golf courses are nearby. The village of Elgin is 5 minutes away and offers a bank, post office, pharmacy, restaurant, grocery, hardware, liquor and beer stores, laundromat, service stations, hairdressers, churches, florist, bowling lanes and gym. Check-out is 10:00 am for cottages and 12:00 pm for campsites. Check-in is not before 2:00 pm for cottages. Each unit has electric heat, lights, fridge, stove, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, cooking utensils, dishes, etc. Well water is available in all units. Boats, docks, BBQ grills are available for rent. We rent bedding & pillows but suggest you bring your own. Fishing Licenses, worms, ice, pop, ice cream, refilled propane tanks, firewood and some camping and grocery supplies are available on site. Rates are based on 2 adults and dependent children under 18. Guest fees apply for additional people over 5 years of age. During the summer, units are only rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday. Please see our camping rates for spring and fall discounts. Prices are in Canadian funds, subject to change without notice. All taxes are extra. A deposit of 50% confirms your booking with the balance due upon arrival. Cancellations received 120 days prior to arrival will receive a 100% refund LESS a $50.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 120 days prior to arrival, amount of refund will be subject to re-rental LESS a $50.00 fee. Due to heavy volume on long holiday weekends: minimum 3 nights, full payment at time of booking. Sorry, NO refunds.
